The K-5 Assembly uses rhythm, dance, and oration to explore the different ways in which Indian Americans tell stories. It highlights how universal the art of storytelling can be, and uses Indian folk, classical, and Bollywood dance forms to do so. Students may learn new words in Hindi, help tell the stories with interactive dance gestures and mudras, or even join the dancers on stage to actively participate in the storytelling.
