About Us
Van Nuys Elementary Community School has a strong academic program focused on meeting the individual needs of all students. We create opportunities for our students to feel supported, enjoy learning, and to reach their full potential. Van Nuys has hardworking, dedicated, and proactive teachers and staff who serve the community and students’ academic, social, physical, and emotional needs.
As a community school, we strive to provide a learning environment where all children can learn and thrive and for our school to be the hub for the community where families access health, social-emotional, mental health, and enrichment support for students. We look forward to working with your family to meet your child’s needs.
Our Mission
To ensure that our students graduate ready for the world, we empower them with a high-quality, rigorous college preparatory education that fosters academic excellence, principled character, visionary leadership and a lifelong love of learning.
